Winemakers throughout the world recognize that Cabernet Franc rarely makes a stand-alone wine. It usually plays a supporting role as a blender with Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot, as its beguiling aromas are not often matched on the palate. Only in exceptional vintages in well drained soils does it deserve bottling on its own. This small bottling of 12 barrels allows us to study Cabernet Franc in an exceptional Okanagan vintage from the sandy soils of the Southern Okanagan Valley.
